This custom material sample set presents a selection of bio-based surface tiles developed from local organic waste streams. The set includes 4 handmade 10 × 10 cm sample tiles, each finished with a different organic waste coating:

The tiles are created using bio-based binders and organic residues, transforming everyday food and plant waste into tactile, decorative surface materials for interiors, exhibitions, retail concepts, and bespoke design applications.
 
Each sample highlights a different colour, texture, and material character, showing how discarded organic matter can be reimagined as a functional and visually expressive surface finish. As the materials are handmade in small batches, slight variations in tone, texture, and surface pattern are part of their natural quality and uniqueness.
